Big Canyon Ranch is made up of over 14,000 acres of prime hunting real estate and Hells Canyon Outfitters hunts this ranch exclusively! We offer a wide variety of hunting opportunities on this ranch. The rugged canyon in contrast to the wide open prairie that surrounds it offers a sanctuary for the big game animals that live here. The Canyon is home to Mule Deer, Whitetails, Black bear, Mountain Lion and bobcats as well as many Game birds including Merriam Turkeys, Chukar and Hungarian partridge. We also offer a helicopter coyote hunting adventure that is an exhilarating experience you will never forget! To top it all off Big Canyon Ranch has a spacious 5 bedroom lodge that is located right on the ranch just minutes away from the world class hunting!
Big Canyon Helicopter Coyote Hunt New!!
Get ready for an adrenaline charged hunt of a lifetime!! . We start the day off with a safety course that covers everything you need to know about handling a firearm around a helicopter as well as some target shooting to get you dialed in for the hunt. The most effective tool for this hunt is a 12 gauge shotgun but you can choose to hunt with a semi-automatic AR-15 as well. We furnish all of the firearms and the ammunition is unlimited. We employ world class experienced pilots that will put you on top of the dogs!. This unique hunt is perfect for bachelor parties, corporate events, family vacations or even just a quick getaway. We can custom tailor this adventure to fit just about any group. The best time to heli hunt coyotes on the high prairie is late November- March when there is snow on the ground and the dogs are the most visible. We are very excited about the opportunity to begin hunting deer on this ranch next season! Big Canyon Ranch is in a trophy draw unit that is known for Big mule deer. This unit is primarily made up of private land and these deer see very little hunting pressure. This large ranch provides us access to over 14,000 acres of Private land! We currently only hold 1 landowner tag for Mule Deer but are expecting to acquire more in the future.
This private ranch is located in Idaho hunt unit 11A which has some of the best whitetail populations in the state. This large canyon gives mature bucks a safe haven from the surrounding farmland. This ranch has seen very little hunting pressure and we are looking forward to the opportunity to hunt this area in 2024.
At Big Canyon ranch we offer a limited number of guided spring Merriam turkey hunts. The terrain in the canyon is the perfect habitat to grow mature toms and the lodge at the ranch is a great place to relax after your hunt. The spring turkey season runs April 15th-May 25th. You can add a turkey to a spring bear hunt for $500.
These hunts are conducted early in the spring at Big Canyon Ranch where we have put together over 14,000 acres of private land with some of the best bear habitat in the state. We hunt these Bears spot and stalk in the mornings and sit on baits in the evenings.
These bears feed on the slides and open ridges of this rugged canyon which makes it ideal for anyone interested in long range shooting. This ranch holds some big old boars that live in an area rarely seen by people.
